Posted By: Sara Posted On: Feb 8, 2010 Views: 438	Believe it or not, I am a Bridget fan. I have been very disappointed in how she has been written over the past few years. I really wanted to see her step out of Brooke's shadow and become her own woman. I didn't want to see her fall into her mother's pattern with men. I really wanted to see a Bridget/Owen pairing. With Owen she wouldn't have had to worry about all the baggage that came with being with Nick brings. From everything with Brooke to his cheating on her with Katie. She deserves some happiness after the things she has gone through. But I don't think she can have that making the poor choices that she has made. Bridget was one of those characters that could have been a strong female. But, Bell seems to be hell bent on making the women on this show crazy, slutty or just plain stupid. Well I can't blame that totally on Bell. This seems to be a running theme through out the soap world. Writer's thinking that strong women are boring and that the only women that fans would respond to are the crasy, slutty and stupid women. I want to see more strong women in daytime tv. I see enough of stupid, petty, slutty and crazy women in everyday life.

(even when I thought Nick might do the impossible)....but besides that, for some reason, Bridget and Nick DO work. I can't agree with you on Taylor (but you know that, my friend :)) I know, the writing on the show could show far more stronger women when it came to these men, but I still have faith. It's DESTINY!!!!! (heh heh) thought you might get a kick outta that one!!!! Till tomorrow !!! :)

That won't change, because she has never loved any other man. All her other relationships didn't come close. Taylor can move on because she has been shown as a woman for whom Ridge was just a distant memory, when she was with Nick. Brooke not so much, because even when she was with Nick, she was always pining for Ridge. None of us would behave the way those women do in real life, but we can't expect Brad to write them differently because he is a SEXIST. I ahve always thought that and he just keeps provong that with each storyline.

That IS the problem with this show.....the men,(who can't keep it in their pants) have the free pass , while the women ALL look like idiots for allowing stuff to happen. I GET IT!!!! I just want one of the one decent characters (and, YES, that's Bridget), to GET IT. To think to herself, you know what, I'm not gonna deal with this BS from ANYONE. I DESERVE BETTER! Hell, I think Taylor and (sorry) Brooke should have seen that a LOOOOOONG time ago. But, maybe Bridget can be saved. I WANT her happy. I just can't understand her thinking.

Should Taylor have done the same thing?? Should Stephanie have gone back to Eric so many times?? NOPE. They are ALL fools for those men who keep screwing them up. But they LOVE them and they keep forgiving the garbage that they get thrown in their faces. the point here is that I have NO CLUE why Bridget should be judge here by going back to Nick, when all the women do the same or worse. Bridget is one of the most decent characters and her only fault regarding men is that she so desperately wants to be loved (and YES, I will blame Brooke for her feeling that way), that she is making the wrong choices. Though as a Nicket fan I think that they do have a chance for real happiness. As long as Bridget sets boundaries for both Nick and the women around him.
Posted By: Randa Posted On: Feb 8, 2010 Views: 295	Okay woman...AKA Nickygirl Yes, I UNDERSTAND that Bridget has every right to feel the way she feels....the hurt.....the betrayal from the people you love the most....but when you look back at the history of all that's happebned between Nick, Brooke, Deacon, Katie, Felicia, jeez, everyone, wouldn't Bridget have a small CLUE that maybe she should be careful of what happens next with this crowd??? Especially NICK!!!!! Would you really wanna do anyone your momma has been with??? Not trying to be mean, but ewww. Same with Peobe and Taylor. Would you lay with someone your mom/ daughter has been with? Yikes, I don't see it. I know it's the soaps, but, for the life of me, if I knew how my husband had felt once towards my mom, my aunt (maybe for different reasons....if I had feelings for my father / Ridge at one point....(please let us ALL try to forget that part), I may have to question my personal decisions on the direction of my thoughts , actions, and where my life were taking me. I DO FEEL SORRY FOR BRIDGET. I KNOW SHE FEELS THREATEND BY ALL THIS. I DON'T WANT IT HAPPENING TO HER. But, she is a smart doctor / designer and maybe somewhere she should have gotten a clue??? Okay, I'm braced for it.....have at it woman.... :)

Neither her mother or Katie had the right to interfere in them. It's not like Nick and Deacon cheated on her with some bimbos they picked up in the bar. Those two women owed her a complete loyalty. She was not only betrayed by the MEN. That is on them and partly on her, because she took the risk. But the fact that she was betrayed by A MOTHER and A FRIEND (now by Sandy whom she also thought of as a friend), is NOT her fault. It is totally on THEM. Brooke acting like a caring mother is totally hypocritical on her part. I am surprised that KKL was able to deliver those lines without bursting out laughing. LOL!!

Someone else may have a PART in how these people react, but , ULTIMATELY, your choices, your actions, all come down to you. You, and you alone are responsible. Sure, you can be totally screwed up by how you were brought up. But, that STILL DOESN't give you the right to do what evil things some people do....on that note....I kind of have to agree that Bridget DID make the choices she made, knowing full well, what had gone on before with Nick and her mom, and Nick and Katie....she still made her own choices. She chose Nick. I DO feel sorry for her....she's had to deal with alot, and I'm sad that she feels betrayed again. But then, why go down that path?????? Knowing what she knew before she went there? Was this ALL Brooke's fault? Well, some of it, I'm sure. But NOT ALL OF IT. And Brooke is defending the hell out of her now, backing up Bridget. AT LEAST SHE IS TRYING TO BE A GOOD MOM. (Please, I DO KNOW what Brooke did to Bridget....I'm NOT defending that...) It's just that, now, she's trying to protect her from Sandy. Brooke sees it.....she knows what's going on. Still, Bridget and Nick have a chance here. He DOES love her. Hope they can get thru this crap..... PS.tho, and I KNOW I'll get crap from this....I still see a chemistry between Nick and Sandy.....

This isn't about Deacon or Nick and how she was betrayed by THEM. This is about HER MOTHER who betrayed her. Is she to blame for that too?? That her own mother stabbed her in the back, and destroyed her self-confidence and self-esteem? That she was so emotionally damaged after that, that she was making choices without thinking, because she desperately wanted to be loved? This is about her friend who betrayed her. Sandy. Or at least someone she believed was her friend. I guess she is to be blamed for that too? That is one twisted logic here, because those that hurt you are the offenders. NOT you.

With the whole Deacon mess, I blame all parties involved and that includes Bridget. I get so tired of women making dumb butt choices and blaming everything and everyone else for those choices. Bridget married Deacon knowing what kind of scum he was. She got involved with Nick after he had already been involved with her mother. She remarried Nick after he cheated on her with Katie. And, let's not forget the mess that went down between her and Ridge. So no I don't see Bridget as some innocent flower. Alot of Bridget's heartache she brought upon herself.

Posted By: Dawn Posted On: Feb 7, 2010 Views: 358	Nicky is right on women in love cant see the flaws of the men they love. bridget was in love with deacon. it wasnt her fault at all that her mother chose to climb on him and scream in orgasm totally disrespecting and disregarding the sanctity of marriage. maybe bridget and deacon would have lasted had her mother not spread them for her son in law. bridgets screwed up life is totally to blame all on brooke. now hope will have a screwed up life too. so will jack and rj thanks to brooke. nick you cant blame for this because he wanted to stay with bridget. bridget is the one that drove him out of the house after their baby died. he should have continued to refuse to leave but deep down both bridget and nick knew nick still had deep feelings for brooke who abused nick as well. nick was no different than bridget now, he believed all of brooke's lies and words of love and he got betrayed and left out in the cold. so did deacon. he loved brooke too and believed all of her lies about him being her destiny and how much she loved him.
