This is the time when Venus was at the top of her game and Serena was coming on. There was so much animosty against the Williams girls. There was always alot of tension on the court as the whole female tennis world was against them and Venus took the brunt of all the negativism and harsh treatment while at the same time beating her opponents and protecting her little sister. While today we know that Serena is the powerhouse now, it was Venus who really set the stage for the williams success. I believe she is the female tennis player of the decade. |
