It only underscores the Mayor's and her council's ignorance. Indeed the Bhojwani's seem to making a quid-pro-quo...what is the "quo"? Is it as others say, taxes? The monuments are unsightly...if Bhojwani wants to impress me, let him build a street in Belize City, put in nice drains and pave it. This makes us look stupid as a society! Scrape that name off or better yet, remove the stupid looking monuments. |

Even Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could see what are his intentions in donating these relatively lost cost and garish monuments in the City and on top of that getting his name inscribed on these aberrations. This is an insult to all the fine artist in this country. A stone sculpture recently done by Belizean and Eureopean artist alike would have done the city proud. Leave the nameing of that parade for a historically sound figure. They cut down trees and destroy flowers, that is their game plan. |
