Increase for Public Servants

If there was any time the government needed to considered a wage freeze, it was the time they gave the biggest increase. The perception that the trade unions are in bed in with the Labour government hold strong because ironically, it's the Labour Party (supposedly a party founded on trader unionism)that has always found it fitting to off public servants zero percent increases. Since when zero increases anything? If the King administration was able to make it work at the crucial point in the global recession, why is it only consultants and proposals for highly paid public officials that the Anthony administration seem able to budget for? At the dawn of fifteen percent VAT, government workers are suppose to adjust their personal budget to pay almost one fifth more for most goods and services whilst their income flat lines? Brilliant way to increase the country's coffers: Pay the people zero and let them pay the government fifteen. Can someone tell me when the better days we voted for are coming? I suspect it's a post-VAT date.
