Finance and Security Ministries

In addition to banned the political flags in Jamaica, consideration should be given to the Finance and Security Ministries becoming anti-partisan.

National colors

Jamaica should not have political flags. In fact we ned to ban them from our politics. The only flag that we should be waving is out black green and gold flag the Jamaican flag the JLP and PNP should change their colors to the Jamaican flag. This will allow people to be anonymous about who they vote for. They will truly be voting for JAMAICA not a political party.

StandinUNITY

Do we see first world countries going around waving political flags? Our culture is different yes but politics already separates friendship and family... why use political flags to make the situation worse... one person commented saying flags are harmless actually being a symbol means that it has effect on people just like the kkk flag! We dont need to have flags to show who u prefer. we need to start promoting for a safer Jamaica and cleaner election process rather than flags or other petty party emblems which separates our nation

Political Flag

political flags is a symbol used to eliminate party supporters and should be ban. While it is understandable that a symbol is needed or desired to differentiate party supporters. One should consider if they are adamant to keep the flag it looks to show that they don't care about you any at all or your life.

Should political flags be banned in Jamaica?

Political flags are used around the world to show political alignment. It also is the right of the people to show their preference for whichever party they choose. Flags are harmless. To ban political flags is to take the cowardice way to preventing crime in politics. Instead we should face up to the perpetrators by revealing who they are to the police and I am sure you will find the real political criminals behind this atrocity.

ban the flags

I say ban all flags. They have proven over time that they are one of the many causes of political strife in the country. The illiterate electorate don not know any better. If a person of an opposing party wear, post or carry a flag in any part of a particular neighborhood and some one sees that person then there is going to be violence towards that person. I say ban the flag, keep your opinion and flag to yourself and let peace reign over the nation. An a so mi seet fi tru.

Why should they be considered to be banned? Are the flags creating an issue? Flags are harmless objects, people are the ones who use them as an excuse to often incite violence...over foolishness!

Flags usually show political alignment, I don't see a valid reason why they should be banned.

Political flags or no flags

I'm surprised that the polls show the great majority are in favour of banning political flags. Why? What harm is there to wave your political, school, church, social, business, college, team flags? I suspect that persons are confusing the issue of placing political flags/colours on neighbourhood streets with carrying/possessing a flag. Personally, I object to the posting of political flags/colours on neighbourhood streets but I have no problem with the concept of a political flag!!

Should political flag

NO JLP or PNP flag!! The country's flag that represent everyone should be used if any of them feel the need to fly a flag.
Jamaicans want the many problems plaguing the country to be taken care of and flying a flag will not solve anything. Puppet show

Flag or no Flag

What's the difference between the flag and wearing T shirts, caps etc. if an individual intends to cause harm because of political allegiance they will do so Flag or no Flag. Treat the root cause.
In some Countries persons have life size pictures on their front lawn and it's not a problem.
We need to learn to deal with issues.

FLAG OR NO FLAGS

I believe it would cause more harm than good. Each person's decision to vote for a particular candidate is their own business and that's private. Holding a flag to say who i will vote for is setting each other up for trouble , bias and even death. Some folk take this too serious and have no good intention so let us leave the flags out of the game and allow each to make the mark as good Citizen who has the country and candidates at heart.
