Jamaicans needs to wake up cause gays are not going any where they are our brothers,sisters,aunts,uncles,mothers,fathers,family and friends and are always going to be here so start learning to live with it.Last but not least the rainbow flag was legally on American soil, we as a sovereign country cannot stop U.S.A from flying it on their compound.WAKE UP JAMAICA!!!!

Going with the flow will lead us to destruction, just like Sodom. We should fight to follow God's laws and not Satan's. The world has no problem doing what he says. Who are these religious fanatics? I was brought up Roman Catholic in Jamaica and I am still Roman Catholic today in Canada but that doesn't mean anything to me. As long as you have a good soul and accept people unconditionally and do good in the world, that's the path I will continue to follow. Wake up people and get with today's world. What makes you all so special? These gay people never hurt anyone and being gay is surely not a crime. (By the way, it's also not something they have a choice in. It's just how they were meant to be from the day they were born.) Some may say it's for population control some may say otherwise but whatever the reason, I'm in no place to judge. Flying the flag shows not only how a little Island such as Jamaica can advance with the rest of the civilized world but it also shows how it is not as ignorant and uneducated as the rest of the uncivilized ones.

It would be interested to know if the French, Belgian etc flags were flown at half-mast when tragedies struck their citizens in recent times. If the US Embassy was showing empathy to its citizens, why not just lower its national flag? This use of an unofficial flag is a social comment, not a national one, and I believe it is an affront to our national values. Mrs. Malahoo-Forte was right to feel offended and I am only sorry that she was pressured into "retracting" her statement.

So what make these gays so special that the American flag needed the gay flag to fly half mass to say that all Americans denounces the crimes that too place in Florida. The American flag is the most powerful flag on earth and to push another flag on the people of Jamaica other than the American flag is highly disrespectful. The world at large should be in sympathy with the gays and strait who died in Florida. The American Embassy would like to mislead people that it was only gays who was killed, but to use the occasion to make a political stand for gays only is only a cheap shot which all Jamaicans should denounce.

These pleasure seekers must not be "homosexuals" that leads us to ignoble transgression, having us think, it is anyway culturally acceptable. It is not the norm to fly another flag in sympathy for all other killings, why was this any different. How many Govt offices in the US flew two flags?
