| Posted By: Rebecca - Kenya Posted On: Oct 27, 2003 Views: 2373 | I want to beat this fear I am a Communications Co-ordinator in an international NGO, so you can imagine how many times I need to speak! I get this fear in front of an audience, my breath starts coming fast and my heart beats faster, I can barely get words out! The worst part is when I begin speaking but afterwards I am fine. I have excellent command of the language, and when speaking to people I know or a small group I am not afraid, the problem is when we are having those meetings in the boardroom. I have never tried speaking before a large crowd save for a very short time, may be just introducing myself, and that's fine. I am gald I came upon this site cos it has given me ideas! I really need to overcome this unwarranted fear. I am so happy to see I am not alone in this predicament! Its a huge relief! |
