I think IELTS test is not very well designed. The reason for that is the aim of the test should be to test peoples knowledge about ENGLISH not their IQ or ability to think correctly. In the current system of IELTS there are sections which are designed to confuse the person taking the test. This is only for the LISTENING and READING parts of the test. I think it is totally wrong and often causes people to do mistakes.

IN MY OPINION, THE IELTS TEST IS WELL DESIGNED, BUT IN THE READING SUB-TEST, SOME TIMES IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR THE WAY IS STRUCTURED IT.

I had taken already IELTS. It is really very difficult & the variety of questions are not related to a nurse profession. You should give more time allotment specially to the part of reading comprehension.

|IELTS; is it relevant for everybody?|
IELTS has various topics and most candidates do not familiar with the topics. Is it relevent for someone who will do economics but get the topics out of economics? further, I think some of the questions are tricky and valuation on speaking and writing is subjective.

some of the pre-posted do speak the same what i intend to say.it is more than 20 years we have in touch with the english. i got 7 bands, still need more, i wish if they can increse the time by 15 more minutes in reading. this is no way to assess ones ability to speak english.

I think that the IELTS is an obstecle in our way, overseas doctor,do you imagine that we had passed the higher qualification exams(FRCS)and we have been studying medicine for more than 15 years(in English ofcourse),then we fail to get the required score in IELTS.

IELTS is a not at all a good test;i don't think it's a good way to measure one's english language ability.
