They've been alternating power with the Liberal Party since the mid-1976 and independence has never been realized. Besides, they gained much credibility on the Intl scene by a decent economic (capitalist) management of the economy. Your argument is quite weak. Perhaps if independence was achieved, there would be some turmoil, but according to me, even this would be realtively short-lived. There are other, more important, factors that will affect the CAD than this. |

If the liberal party is still in power next spring then it 'll be parity 'cause the US economy will be flat next year while the canadian one should be OK for another year. |

In many pairs it has been forming tops over the few months. Oil prices are beginning to fall. Interest rates are not lifting loonie so much since last month. I am buying eur/cad for a test of 1.4850 and selling cad/jpy for a test of 94.00. Also intend to add on my positions as the break occurs. Hope to buy usd/cad soon. |

The USA dollar will crash, gold prices will rise substantially, and the Canadian commodities prices will support higher stock prices, i.e., prediction for TSX to go to 15,000 thereabout by the end of 2007. |
