USD/CAD

I think CAD will trade between 0.98 to 1.02 to US for the next 6 months, the range will widen by year end. USD should strengthen by 2009 mid back to CAD 1.10

usd/cad to reach 1.05

look at graphs reminds us usd/cad will reach 1.05 soon and canada will be under pressure as usa recession pours into canada.usd/cad to reach 1.05 after which it can fall before 1.05 its unlikely as usd/cad needs upmove for more downfall.after 1.05 we can move back to .90 area or more.the area of 1.05 is very much needed for reaching .90

Cdn $

Rise in price of oil, gold and geopolitical tensions all bode well for the CDN dollars strength. $1.20 US befrore year 2008 is over. Although this does not necessarily bode well for the manufacturing sector expect stronger trading ties with China with emphasis on Quality. Want to really cash in check out KXL on the venture exchange. Research their website extensively.

CAD Strength

Expect to see the CAD continue to rise. The CAD, dubbed as a petrol based currency, will maintain it's strength and will continue to rise with the price of oil. With few signs of a decrease in oil prices don't expect the CAD to fall anytime soon.

Strong CAD$

The strong CAD$ could turn in to a big problem for Canada. Their reliance on the United States for a majority of their trade has suddenly become more difficult due to the higher cost of Canadian goods. Plus many U.S. companies have back office operations in the Canada due to the language skills and what was cheaper labor. Now that "cheaper" labor is more expensive and might result in a large upswing in Canadian unemployment.

Can $

Get ready to see the CAN $ reach 1.05 in Dec 07 and topping 1.10 before summer 08. Then the decline should start in the third quarter of 08.

CAD Dollar Chaos

Is anyone in the world of currency exchange really know the truth? Be aware of the CAD situation. Canada has begun to sell off Canadian owned assests to foreign investors and are relying too heavily on resources. This is all seen as an false advantage for the dollar. This could all lead to a bust in the CAD. Just look at the USD and its fall. You can see parallels.

Correction emerge

$/CAD has already formed a double top at 1.1875,
it is very likely that the $/CAD will face a downward correction. I suggested to keep $/CAD position and stop-loss at 1.1925.

tax changes and canadian dollar

There is a lot of money that has gone into Canada for oil and commodity trusts. The tax law changes are going to cause an unwinding of the investment in Canada. Canada is eager to lower the Canadian dollar to try and revive its manufacturing and move away from being a commodity currency. Majority of Canadian trade is weighted towards US and cooling of US economy will depress Canadian dollar. Canadian dollar is going down to .80 January and may stabalize thanks to oil production cuts.
