Posted By: Le Reynard Posted On: Feb 14, 2005 Views: 2136 | 4X - A$/US$ I believe it will hit at least 0.7975/85 & 0.8075/85 not impossible. After that we re-evaluate! |
Posted By: Jimmy the Blowfly Posted On: Feb 9, 2005 Views: 2022 | AU$ Of course! But time is of the essence in these matters. History is only there to remind us all that we continue to make the same mistakes time after time after time, and will continue to do so. |
Posted By: Sandra Posted On: Feb 8, 2005 Views: 1931 | AUS $ Only time will tell.....but history shows regardless of the issue that what goes up must come down. I still strongly believe the money market is about to correct itself. |
Posted By: Jimmy the Blowfly Posted On: Feb 6, 2005 Views: 1997 | The bears Sandra and the bears are dead wrong. We will hold a pattern with a low of 0.7650 and a high of 0.7980 havering at an average of 0.7700 +/- for the next 12 months. The US are spending it like water in the Middle East and George W will now tinker with domestics and introvert the nation to distract them from what is going on. We are still running well - you try to get a boilermaker or diesel mechanic - they are rarer than hens teeth! |
Posted By: Sweetie Posted On: Feb 4, 2005 Views: 1983 | End of the bull run Here's hoping Sandra is right - I'm looking for 65 by Christmas, if not before! |
Posted By: Sandra Posted On: Feb 3, 2005 Views: 1933 | Predicted This drop in AU $ is nothing compared to what will happen when the US Federal Reserve increases interest rates next week....and Howard will be doing the same shortly as he now has no other option. |
Posted By: Sandra Posted On: Jan 27, 2005 Views: 1972 | Correction The Australian Dollar is about to make a correction. Tourism is down, private hospitals cshutting down and public hospitals closing beds. Even though Howard is cutting back on his budget it will still take time for exports to pick up once again to balance the import/export ration. I am personally selling now while the Australian dollar is still strong as what goes up must come down. I would prefer to not stay in and be greedy for the extra few bucks. |
Posted By: jimmy the blowfly Posted On: Dec 15, 2004 Views: 3002 | Mr Meah Go for it - its back down again, of course it could go down further or even go back up. That is what makes it all so interesting! Good luck with the education - I have 6 more to go, then university (?)before I can retire to an island in the sun! |
Posted By: M.N.Meah Posted On: Dec 7, 2004 Views: 3290 | Appreciation of AUD This refers to "the Australians'" comments under the caption "US in Australia". I choose Australia because my country is in the backyard of Australia having my currency pegged to US$. My Australian friends should realize the fact that overvalued AUD adversely affects Australia not the USA. It reduces Australian exports of goods and services and attracts lesser number of overseas students thereby widening the current account deficit. I think like EU and Japan, Australia should also consider the option of intervening in the forex market or cut interest rate to keep its currency competitive in the export market. I wonder whether my Australian friends in question belong to any unscrupulous currency traders group. |
Posted By: The Australians Posted On: Dec 2, 2004 Views: 3448 | US in Australia For the comment below about the rise of the Aussie dollar - how typical from the US! As long as the rest of the world suffers - no worries. But when something doesn't go their way - look out! My advise, stay in your own backyard. Study somewhere else! |
Posted By: M.N.Meah Posted On: Nov 23, 2004 Views: 3914 | Appreciation of AUD Being a resident of a USD dominated country and having a child studying in Australia, I find the AUD appreciation very painful and disappointing. With three more years to go, I wonder how to immunize myself from the bad effect of AUD appreciation. Any advice in this regard will be highly appreciated. |
Posted By: John Russell Posted On: Nov 9, 2004 Views: 4302 | Election results It seems people in the US and Australia want conservative leaders with traditional Christian values. People who are not ruled by popularism, but are willing to make tough decisions. If we had not gone to Iraq how long would it be before Saddham got the bomb? Would he give it to terrorists to attack the dreaded Christians and Jews? This war on terror needs to be. It could span centuries, but we need to think of the next generations and fight it. And it seems that many westerners are turning back to God again. Perhaps its because of the war? But I think its about time we all took a look at the past century with all its terrible mistakes and learn from it. We cant live without God in our lives. And I believe our economies and currencies will go forward during this century. So long as the terrorists do not get the bomb. Anyone out there agree?????????? |
Posted By: johnny Posted On: Nov 3, 2004 Views: 3526 | labor is a joke Lol, Labor is a disgrace... The only reason why I voted for him is that we get a balance of power in the government. Shame on Labor. BooOOooOo.. Lets just hope the Howard government don't get complacent. |
Posted By: mcc Posted On: Oct 30, 2004 Views: 3371 | AUD/USD Broke out of a trading range w/ new support at 0.7250. Another run up, possible profit taking at 0.7600 2-3 weeks time line. Any more upside from this level, pullout the TINNY. |
