David Cassidy (1990)

I have grown up watching The Partridge Family, and became a fan of David Cassidy's ever since.

What I love about David's 1990 album, "David Cassidy", is that the songs are very original. Hi-Heeled Sneakers is fun to listen to because "I Think I Love" is cleverly inserted. "Message To The World" is a very positive song, a song the world very much needs today.

Overall, I love each and every song on this album, making David Cassidy (1990) my favorite of All of his albums.

Album: Didn't You Used To Be

I've always liked David's music. Whether it
was the 1970's stuff on Bell ala Partridge style
or his later works. Not all of which I have.
I have to say "Didn't You Used To Be" is my
current favorite album because it is David's
work. It was such a huge and pleasant surprise
to come across it. To hear him as a writer
and musician on his own. It's the voice.
I'm one of those who initially started watching
the Partridge Family TV show waaaay back because
he was Jack Cassidy's son. Jack had an amazing voice I adored whenever he appeared as a guest
on TV shows like Dean Martin's, Merv or was it
Andy Griffin....OK so I'm dating myself! I'm still younger than David by a couple ;)
Thank you for listening. - Mufi

Cassidy aint the same anymore

I'm a big David Cassidy fan, but sadly I am going to have to tell it exactly like it is. David Cassidy hasn't made any decent music in 15 years. If you want to hear some classic Cassidy, listen to any of the three albums he made for RCA, the self titled CD from 1990, or Didn't You Used To Be from 1992. Everything else he's made after that is garbage. David's style and quality of music has gone totally downhill. The few new songs he's done are junk, and "modern" versions of old songs and Partridge classics are terrible. Stop re-living the past, David. Leave the classic Partridge Family music alone and stop butchering it with these god-awful new versions. Show us you still have it in you to write some truly great original songs and put out a decent CD for a change. You are long overdue, bud.

The Higher They Climb The Harder They Fall

I would just like to say, that I have recently purchased the above album, and once again I must say that it is a great album, I particularly like the skit called "Massacre On Park Bench" where DC mostly just makes snoring noises. It is really funny when the other guy says you're him, you're Da idy? and David says Yeah! what really cracks me up is when the other guy says Are you really him? Are you sure you're him? and DC says yeah I'm him. There is however one other track which I like on this album and that is the song Common Thief. I can't wait to order my next DC album. Keep on rockin' DC we all love ya! Your still the best and boy are you better than the rest.

Anything with David Cassidy

I would just like to say how much I really like the Partridge family album Note Book there is one particular track which I can't resist playing over and over again and that is the Somethings Wrong. I do like David Cassidy as well and the two albums that I have got Cherish and Rock Me Baby are great. David and I share a few things like for instance, both he and I were a young age when our parents divorced, he wore glasses like I still do, we were both born under the sign of Aries, and he is still just as gorgeous as he was. I still can't believe that he is now 56 he doesn't look a day over 40. I have just been watching the concert DVD from his 2004 concert and boy does he sound as good as ever and even the acoustic versions of some of the songs are just as good as when they were originally done. Keep on rockin' David you are number one in our books and we will always love ya.

Best album "David Cassidy" '90

I love this album and find it to be David's best work thus far. while I like David enough to buy any new music sight unseen, I hope he returns to writing, as both "Then and now" and "touch of blue" slowed the momentum built between "Romance" and "old trick new dog" all fantastic work(my opinion of course) Though I suppose I shouldn't doubt as "THEN AND NOW" went platinum. Good job.Well today being April 6th and my living in Sparks Nv. I will be seeing David perform tomorrow and the next day. And for a change of pace, I am "dragging" my girlfriend as oppossed to the more frequent husband/boyfriend dragging. lol! David rocks, has a great soul voice, and is a fine writer. Don't stop recording, you still have plenty to say. Thanks for all the hard work. p.s. anyone who wishes to write and "talk" music feel free.

Then & Now CD

Hi to all the fans and to David! David, I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and did not know that in 1971 (no internet then) that you did a fabulous show (I am sure) in Birmingham, AL. I will explain where Huntsville is: One hour north of Birmingham. I moved five years ago to Destin, Florida (The Gulf of Mexico, better known as the Emerald Coast). I have been seeking at CD stores your name alphabetically also of course at Walmart, Target etc.. I finally located your CD just two months ago when I moved to Gilbert, Arizona (the fastest growing City in America is Phoenix, Arizona and Gilbert is one of its many communities). I cannot keep from playing the CD every time I travel to and from in my car, my daughter is in college now all the way across the country in North Carolina. I am waiting for the opening of tickets as you are coming to the Gila Casino on October 7th 2005. I am worried that your concert will immediately sell out, because you may not have many tickets, not enough for out city, 1.25 million and 180 families per day moving here! I am going to be awake at midnight at the first moment they are on sale online. Your new songs--just move and touch your soul, your classics on this CD are still as breathtaking to me as they were when I first became your fan with the Partridge Family show watching its first airing on National TV with many girl friends, as I hosted a spend the night party and we went absolutely "wild" for you. Your voice its range, your talent have no words to describe. The King of Pop was Elvis, NO! Seriously, you are DAVID!! I want the radio stations to play your music America desires to here your music. The new songs along with your classics. Please ask your brother who played Danny on the show he is huge as a DJ I understand now in the radio business, can he not influence these other States in the US DJ's to play your music??? I cannot believe that your songs are not played over and over like Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney, you rank above them with the energy you had then and now! A HUGE FAN HOPING FOR A TICKET TO SEE YOU PERFORM YOU ARE A GIFT TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, DAVID YOU ARE THE KING!!! David, I am if not the 1st, one of the 1st that joined in the very beginning into your "Fan Club"; and yet, I have never had the opportunity to see you perform! Just to let you know, that I am a well educated college graduate, a "Professional woman" who works with one of the largest Corporations in the U.S. here in the beautiful city of Phoenix, Arizona. Then and Now! My favorite, your true blue fan, Marla.

Higher They Climb Album Cover

My claim to fame is that I am featured in the crowd on the album cover of The Higher They Climb The Harder They Fall. I didn't notice it until a few years after it was released.
The photo was taken outside the old London Weekend TV studios where David was being interviewed by Sally James. A crowd of a few hundred girls waited outside and were rewarded by a glimpse of David who appeared on the roof of the building (which is why we were all looking up). I went and stood in the middle of a small space in the crowd in the belief that David would see me! That is why I am easily recognisable as I was standing by myself, not only that but they duplicated me so that I appear on both sides of his head on the cover! You can't see my face but I know it was me because of what I was wearing and the way I was standing, also, my two friends are visible a few years behind me in with the rest of the crowd. Anyone else remember it?
