| Posted By: Vic Posted On: Dec 13, 2005 Views: 2329 | greatest football player The greatest "all around" football player? Why it's Paul Hornung of course. He ran with the ball, threw the ball, caught the ball, kicked the ball and blocked so well, that Jim Taylor alsomade the hall of fame. Also, Paul Hornung holds an NFL record that will never be broken: point scored in a season with 176. And that was in a 12 game season for an average of over 14 points per game! |
| Posted By: it doesn't matter Posted On: Oct 29, 2005 Views: 2344 | Walter "Sweetness" Payton Walter Payton is the best football player all-time, no doubt. Who cares about Emmitt Smith (although he is still good), but walter is better. Go #34. |
| Posted By: Jimmy Posted On: May 1, 2004 Views: 2421 | Football Amen to Alex, this guy's right, that douche bag Jermy has no ****in idea what the hell he's talkin about. MONATANA RULES!!!! |
| Posted By: Alex Posted On: May 1, 2004 Views: 2418 | Joe Montana Regarding the loser (Jermy) who thinks Marino is the greatest, he's dead wrong. No one can top the numerous superbowls Monatan won, the Superbowl MVP's and the many situations where Monatna came up in the clutch (solo)and won the game. When this fagit Jermy talks about "how great Marino is" I think Jermy flunked common sense in high school, because greatness is measured by the W's and L's, and I'm positive Monatan has more W's. ENOUGH SAID |
| Posted By: Ray Posted On: Feb 4, 2004 Views: 2420 | runningback Barry Sanders IS THE Best runningback ever to play the game of football. The only reason Emmit has ANY of the records is becuase the Lions wouldn't trade him and he retired. Emmit doesn't even compare to any statistic Barry put up in his limited career in the NFL |
| Posted By: colt Posted On: Dec 16, 2003 Views: 2424 | running back The greatest running back ever is emitt smith how holds all the reacords. i was disapointed when looking though espn to 100 athlets and to not see his name grase the list. the guy has more rushing TD's then anyone and not to mention the all time leading rusher. so it amazing to barry sanders a head of him on the top 100 list i can understand walter payton the guy had over 21,000 all purpose yards but barry sandbag ant got nothing on the three time supperbowl champ |
| Posted By: Jeremy Posted On: Nov 6, 2003 Views: 2423 | MARINO Is Quarterback not the most important position in football?? I think almost all football fans will agree. Individually speaking who has completely MASTERED THE QUARTERBACK POSITION as far as passing the ball is concerned. He is Head and Shoulders above everyone as the Record Holder in every Passing statistic. montana has more 'Team' accomplishments with the superbowls and winning games but is far less impressive as an individual player. DAN MARINO IS THE GREATEST and EVERYONE KNOWS IT!! (people just hate to admit this and will excuses like superbowl victories which is a TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENT! which means running, defense, special teams, coaching, etc.) |
