When is it on?

I have trouble knowing when the show will air. I set my VCR to record @ 4pm and then find that it has moved again.

Love the show. Promote it more. Tape some more shows. Tell me when it's on and I will tape it to watch when I get home. I promise.

Repeats

I'm tired of the same cases being shown. As soon as I see the litigants, I already know the case and know the outcome. When I see this, I change channels. We want some fresh cases

I just love the show! I'm only 14 yrs. old but the show is the closest thing that I like involving the Justice System. Of course, since it's on during the day, I miss ALOT of episodes, but when I get a break I try not to miss a single minute. The judge kicks ass, and some of the cases are so normal that it's funny. Thanks, People's Court for keeping me entertained for an hour. ^_^ Please, make no changes. =D

Hey Addison

Sorry but you're wrong. Unfortunately, MOST of these cases are real. Some, I'm sorry to say are really cheesy actors that Jerry Springer would LOVE to have on HIS program. BUT... for the most part these people are hunted down from the dockets of small claim courts around the country. Then BOTH sides have to sign an iron-clad contract that binds them to the decision of an arbitrator. Note I said arbitrator. Legally they are NOT judges, or they would be bound by the law, and subject to appeal. The only laws here are loosely interpreted by the arbitrators themselves. Ratings are their only interest. If justice prevails, it’s because it was in the script. Both sides are compensated by funds provided by sponsors. No one ends up paying those judgments at the end. That’s how they get their cooperation after the so-called trial.

Judge Milian

This is one of my favorite programs on television, and the only one I try not to miss.
This woman's passion and humanity never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Tears AND a sore stomach from laughing so hard, and/or tears of compassion for the poor souls who have opted to appear in what must be uncomfortable circumstances. This judge is no better no worse than other judges, but, what sets her apart from the rest is her ability to relate to everyone who appears before her at THEIR level... and the warmth of her personality is always evident as she brings humour to the stage so that the litigants will recognize how insignificant the dollars are and how important relationships and responsibilities are. The world needs MORE judges like her... young and vibrant, rather than old and stodgy... like so many are in the overall court system.

Screaming Judge Milian

She used to be a lot better. I am getting tired of watching this woman almost foam at the mouth and speak in such a demeaning way to others. PLEASE stop the screaming!! I used to like her.... now I have to turn it off because she gives me a headache. What happened? Leave the screaming to Judge Judy.

The people's Court 11/14

I think Dr Ellen was right to be angry with "chat-room cheat" Alaric and his despicable behaviour towards her. He used her and took advantage of her vulnerability. She seems a very nice lady and deserved better.

The People's Court

I don't think they should change a thing about the People's Court. Judge Marilyn Milian is a good judge, she not afraid to speak up when someome in her courtroom upsets her or acts like a total idiot. I think she is the best judge on tv today. She is compassionate when compassion is due and she's critical when it's necessary. I think a lot of piople waste her time with some of the cases they bring in front of her. She is a judge in New York court system and should be respected and not waste her time with trivial crap. I think she's the best judge they've had on the People's Court. I think the court shows on tv are informative and help us learn more about our rights, as well as the law. She has no use for people who think they're above the law and makes them face the fact they aren't above the law. I wish she could be the judge in my court case against someone who feels he is above the law and doesn't have to answer for his actions. I say HATS OFF TO JUDGE MARILYN MILIAN.

get over it

You think that judges do not speak that way behind closed doors? Have you ever thought of family court for example, where the documents are sealed?

If you honestly think that judges are disrespectful, threatening, brutal, irrational, mean, rude, etc. in real life (as as opposed to on television, like on TPC), they you are not only wrong, but also sadly naive.

Wake up.

Judge Milian

I saw the 11/7 show, when the Judge ejected a litigant, who objected to her calling him "honey."

She also said, "I hope Douglas beats you to a pulp."

A judge issuing threats of physical violence????

What does this teach kids viewing this behavior?

We all know this is a TV show, and therefore always chasing ratings, but Milian's disrespect for the people before her, demeanns the litigants, the court system generally and the public.

I have always watched the PC, but cannot watch the it now because of Milian's tantrums and disrespect for our intelligence.

Judge Marilyn

I think Judge Marilyn is the best Judge on TV. She has a great sense of humor, is sweet, kind, wise and fair. I also think that the next time a guy walks out of her court and says she is sexist because he lost, Curt should ask him if he is one of those guys who says every woman who turns him down for a date is a lesbian. OK, stick a fork in me..........

Court TV - "Judge" Marilyn Milian

Shows like People's Court are just that...TV shows...not real courts with any real power and not presided over by real judges...TV court shows are entertainment in the form of an arbitration hearing at best where nobody really loses - except in principle...a far cry from the real world of real courts full of real human sadness and distress...a real world I worked in.

TV "courts" are not part of the judicial system...the so-called "court" is a TV set for a TV show...the "court" is presided over by someone called "judge" and paid to act the part for that particular show.

I worked many years in the real judicial system...not a nice place to be...looking at shows like People's Court and others to see what the world of TV court is I was saddened how the misery of others becomes entertainment for the curious masses...court TV, in my opinion, is about entertainment and ratings and the egos of TV court "judges".

I looked at how TV court so-called "judges" run "their" so-called "courts" and I shook my head...in all my years service I never once saw a real judge act like the phony "judges" I saw on TV court...I never saw real judges flying into rages...I never saw real judges demeaning people by calling them names...but a real judge doesn't get paid several million a year, either...gotta keep those ratings high.

During my years working in the judicial system when I addressed a real judge as "Judge" I did so as a person showing respect to to a person in a real respectful position of real authority...a symbol of our free system of justice.

I find the so-called "judge" Marilyn Milian of the court TV show People's Court to be loud and often rude and opinionated......in my opinion she brings in her own prejudices to the cases while at the same time cutting off or not allowing so-called "litigants" to reply...she, in my opinion, is full of this "I'm THE JUDGE" attitude...her attempt at trying to talk tough by calling so-called litigants "honey" and "sweetheart" sounds just plain stupid to me...trying to talk something that she is not does not work...I also found that she often does not listen to reason...I have also heard "judge" Milian demean so-called "litigants" by calling them either stupid or "jerks"...perhaps, as one man said to me, she's a "judge" Judy wanna be.

I looked at the TV court shows to see what it's all about...after working in the real thing I haven't got the desire to watch anymore.

Judge Milian

I love the People's Court and have watched it ever since I was a little girl with Judge Wapner, but now as an adult, I love it! Judge Milian is EXCELLENT, and I will not miss her daily. I work so I tape her and watch it each night. I love her style, and I even think the length of the show is appropriate. You know that each show has three cases, and I think the show should be promoted more, because she's the best outside of Judy.
