Judge advocating beating up person

I was just sent a clip of this program from a friend. I have never seen the show nor do I ever intend to after watching this portion of a previous show. The judge called a person, not sure if defendant or prosecutor, "honey". He took exception to this as any one would and should and the judge became combatant with him. I am female and if a judge called me "honey" I would be highly offended. The man, who asked to be called by his professional name of Doctor, in what I thought was a polite way, stated he justed wanted the proceedings carried on in a respectful way. Again, I do not see the problem there but the judge who seemed unable to forget him calling her on the "honey" issue made and issue of this. The clip was short or the proceedings were, I'm not sure which. But at the end when she said to the Doctor something about jerking around this problem for a year he cautioned her again by saying "careful judge" at which point she threw him out of the court. He told her he would go and was gathering up his papers when she said he wasn't going fast enough and for Douglas to get him out. He made the comment that said Douglas had better not touch him and she screamed "If Douglas beats you to a pulp I will be delighted". Is this the ravings of a demented woman or does she do this for the ratings? I am not too savvy on daytime TV, which I am guessing this is, but man did that make our judicial system look like a joke!

Finally, some voices of reason!

Finally, people with brains on this board who see "Judge Milian" for who she really is-an arrogant, sarcastic, chauvenistic bitch, who needs a kick in the posterior!

Court Reporter

In advance, thank you for this comment posting. I believe that the People's Court is one of the greatest airing TV court realities. In fact, I know that it is among the first for the American populous and I love it. However, there is one observation that I would love to communicate. To be candid, more often than not, I have an aversion, in fact, I loathe the insensitive questionings susequent to a litigant hearing by Announcer and Court Reporter, Curt Chaplin. As I observe, his often condescending, rude, and repugnat questionings and furtive, yet overt, remarks are not only very distasteful, but more importantly, his insensitivity breaches and is non reflective of the important image of this credible forum. I sincerely believe and assert that it would bolster ratings and enlarge the viewing audience if someone would terminate Curt Chaplin. I suggest that perhaps it should be seriously considered replacing him with someone who is caring, thoughtful, and only interested in what the litigants have learned from their presentation, while being unconcerned with being the fodder of his own poor self ego and appearance to the viewing audience!

The judge is great

Not only is Judge Milian the smartest and the most straight of all tv court judges, she educates as well. I have learned a great deal from both the judge and Harvy Levin. Keep the show the same and stop moving the time slot.

judge milian

when are these judges going to address the
issues of teenagers and young people who
come into the court to sue for cell phone
bills and car "rims" when they have 3, 4,
or more KIDS that they don't seem to care
about. they don't seem to care who feeds them
or takes care of them as long as the welfare checks keep coming. i am sick to death of the
attitudes these people have and all the ads on tv to "sponser" a child in another country when we have so many here. when did having a child stop being a wonderful, planned, like changing experience? these girls are popping out babies like pex dispensers and no one seems to care. most of the time, they don't even know who the fathers are. this makes me sick!!

thanks for letting me vent. i love judge milian and i wish we had more like her. she IS the hottest judge on television.

What a joke

Judge Milian started out as a fair judge educating the audience as she doled out judgements. After being a litigant on the show, I can see how she has fallen from the bench and bumped her head. She did not allow the facts of the plaintiff to be heard, but instead saw a way to misrepresent the case altogether. She allowed some totally unrelated topic to dominate the dialog and did not really ever address the complaint for its merit. She had copies of the complaint and counter before the show. I guess the case was not "funny enough". If the ratings call for more dramatics, comedy, and salty insults, then actors should be used as litigants. Milian has gone from judge to slapstick actress. I have no respect for her position or title.

sugguestions

the times change far too often and I have a difficult time knowing when the show is on. Get good times and stick to them. Not so many re-runs either.

The Judge

Judge Milian, she is Great and probably one of the better if not the best judges we have ever had. The time slot is very important along with promotions for the show both which are poorly selected.
The show needs a little more flash. I think she should start poking at corporate bull crap USA. Also bad assault cases, victims to seek justice, the judge gets so emotional that I am sure it will bring the best out her and take it to a new level.
I have some ideas and sure you do so get to work. How about company’s who jerk people around like GE who never responds or the lying lens crafter.
Good Luck,
mj
PS. remember stop picking baloney cases unless they bring the evidence to support it. Give them a list on what to bring, make sure they have it. Now you give the judge something to fight about, she can go to work not playing the he said she said guessing game. People are tired of rough justice bull everyone is doing with no evidence. Take the show to the new level on things that happen today.

Change the Time

If they would change the time it would be better. Put it later on than what it is now. People are really rushing in the morning's to get every thing done, like house work so they can see it. I say put it on later!

Bad grammar

To Judge Milian:

Two things. First, when you say "...chiminney",
you are incorrect. The word "chimney" does NOT
have an added "in". Second, you every so often
will say "...ex cetera" instead of properly say-
ing "et cetera". Please, if you will, look up
these words in any dictionary for sutable usage
of the English language, where you will see your
errors. With your learned background, such mis-
takes should NOT be acceptable to you.

Judge Milan

I think the recent change in your attitude reflects the networks request to up the ratings. The reason I and many others watch this judge is she is extremely fair, humerous, and sympathetic but didn't have any trouble controlling her court room, don't change your wonderful and professionl attitude, you are really great and I will continue to watch you if you go back to being the great judge you have always been. The show needs to be promoted more, Please, Please don't give in to what the network wants you to do, you have enough support from the viewing audience that if they try to fire you it will not be so easy to do.There is enough un-professional Judges on TV, you could not pay me to watch. The previous Judges on The Peoples Court do not have the following that Judge Milan has, she is a credit to this program and it would be a big mistake replacing her.
Thank you,

Great Job

I think you are great. You are fair and you don't give rude and nasty comments to the litigants like Judge Judy. I like you as a person and look up to you. Keep up the great work!
