For linux at least, no real point

IMHO, Trillian fills a gap under windows that gAim solves under linux... there would be no real point in duplicating all the work done by the gAim if there are still things needed to be done on win32....

I also forgot, i dont know of a linux program which consolidates those 5 clients into one program, and i like trillian better than gaim.

I don't know where you've living, but here I've been using Gaim for all protocols....MSN, AIM, ICQ, Zephyr, IRC, Gadu Gadu, Jabber, etc... So to say there's no program wich supports protocol X is a bit strange. And Gaim has a LOT of nifty plugins and patches with wich you can expand the program.

I'd say, go for OS X. They need it. We've got Gaim (And everybuddy, but last time I checked, it wasn't done yet)

RE: For linux at least, no real point

Everybuddy is another Unix/Linux based messenger that supports Jabber, MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, and IRC. It probably will work under OSX, if not now it likely will soon. So I would advise a Java port. Then it can run on the smaller devices and on any OS you feel like marketing it to.
