Worth it?

I don't know. I've kind of lost interest in anything made by DiC, Archie or Fleetway of late. Seems to me that everything's far to kidified.

However, if the Sonic Anime were to come out on DVD (and I had a DVD player)... :)

RE: Worth it?

The Sonic Anime was released on DVD. And I want it! ...Because I think you can watch the Japanese version with English subtitles on it. The English voices were a bit annoying. n_n;

RE: Worth it?

SatAM is one of the least kiddified cartoons I've ever seen, especially out of the US. This isn't anything new, this show is about 8 years old, and it was the best thing DiC ever made... I own the Sonic Anime on DVD and I'd choose SatAM over that any day.

RE: what?? LOL

for cryen out loud this is not kidified there's hollocaust everywhere (robotization) which makes them slaves then theres sex appeal and rtelationships, also a love triangle in one ep.

treachery, explosions, dark and realistic animation (as opposed to bright colored funny stuff)

maniacle evil villain, an army of evil robots at his command including the slaves, the world's fate in his hands too

and one thing that sets aside the rest sonic and sally kiss in almost every episode lol i thought i t abit much but frankly i miss it hehe ok latas

RE: Worth it?

It was cool, but it seemed boring to me. Always climbing through vents, and getting in to eggmans fortrace. But maybe thats becuase I was 4. I would watch it if it was on TV again. Just to rmember what it was like. The only episode i seem to remeber throughly is when Sonic finds his robotizized uncle. Dam, that was funny. That grouchy uncle growled and pressed a red button. My brother siad that was what I was like when he woke me up in the morning. I laughed, but got angry. You know when your 4. The rest are little bits of piecies. Sonic and sally climbing onto a robots, reprgraming them. Oh well.

RE: Worth it?

It seems like SatAM was kind of a violent, dark side of the sonic people. It was cool, violent(0.0), Relationships, and much more. It seems like it was for the more mature Sonic fan back then! Now that we understand it more now, We want it more! Got it? Good.

RE: RE: Worth it?

Subject: RE: RE: toonami conspiracy?

They probably wont because of these points
1) Sonic Sat Morning was killed over 5 years ago.
2) Sonic Sat AM has no real action in it, unlike many of the other series that toonami shows.
3) The show got **** ratings even when it was on.

Now dont get me wrong, I like the show but the ratings werent so good

Now DVD release isnt a good idea either for these points.
1) It was released on video already and discontiuned.
2) DIVX Codecs
3) Real Video
4) It was never really popular in the first place.

Now if the sonic webmasters actually had more brains, they would put all the episodes on DIVX and generate more visitors for their websites. Whats free will always prevail.

RE: Worth it?

Actually, I remember the show getting extremely high ratings in it's first year, rivaling power rangers. The second season I have no idea about.

RE: Worth it?

Yes, the SatAM series would've most likely kept going strong had ABC not jumped it around all the time (I can remember getting up at 7:30am only to realize it came on at 7:00 that week, and getting up at 7:00 the next week only to find out they aired it at 6:30, etc.) Power Rangers was the main culprit. I think it was on at the same time during the second season too.

I'm personally buying the DVD because I'm sure my old recordings off of the USA network when they were airing have deteriorated over time. XP

I always liked the SatAM version much more than the AoSTH, though. It was more serious, more believable. The scenery and temp. characters in AoSTH were crap. @_o But SatAM was very well done, and it had continuous plotlines, which are always good. ^_^

Err, anyway, I'm not much of one to talk because Sonic is only my biggest obsession, but I definitely recommend buying them. I think DiC is using this as a test to see if they should continue with the series anyhow, so support that as much as possible if you can. =)

RE: Worth it?

OF COURSE THESE ARE WORTH IT!

If the vids sell well enough they may actually decide to make the 3rd season.... They canceled the third season because ABC got a new owner and decided not to air it...

plus they most likely wont have the US cuts in them.

In My opinion SatAm was the best cartoon ever...
