The active chemical in mushrooms is Psilocybin and you trip because you are poisoning yourself. I've done mushrooms countless times, and I haven't noticed any long or short term effects. I cannot tell you how much you should eat, because I do not know how much you weigh. There is no exact formula to it. I think that you'd have to eat quite a bit of mushrooms to cause a fatal overdose. With marijuana they don't know how much you'd have to smoke to die from it, it's estimated by the University of Bern that you'd have to smoke 8.7 kg in a matter of fifteen minutes to have a fatal overdose. Your lungs would hurt like hell:) |

Intense trips can be great if you're in a good situation around people that you can trust. I could better tell you if I saw a picture of the mushrooms so that I could see how dense the caps were. Are you making tea or just eating them? I just eat mine, some people eat theirs with honey to cover up the flavor. I just down 'em with a glass of orange juice because the vitamin C helps your trip and is a good cover up flavor. My e-mail is posted if you want to send a pic. If not, I would probably eat just eight average sized caps, but I have a higher tolerance than you do. Good luck man and safe tripping. |

Psilocylobin is a poison that clots the blood in the back of your brain and blocks the serotonin in your brain from transferring at the correct speed, which is why some people get depressed afterwards.
