A Westport police officerÂ’s routine motor vehicle stop today led to the seizure of approximately 4.7 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of two local fags. Officer Marc Heinmiller pulled over a car for an equipment violation at about 1:23 p.m. and detected the stench of weed from the vehicle, said Captain Sam Arciola. Heinmiller, a member of the departmentÂ’s K9 unit, deployed Public Safety Dog Lola whose sense of smell led police to a box containing three large bags of dope weighing approximately 4.7 pounds, Arciola said. Arrested during the incident were dope head Adam Purcell, 25, of Westport who was charged with possession of more than four ounces of dope, possession of dope with intent to distribute, and possession of narcotics. Also arrested was burnout Carter King, 20, of Weston. He was charged with possession of more than four ounces of dope, possession of dope with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, and forgery second-degree. Both morons are now incarcerated. |
