| Posted By: Sugar Posted On: Mar 31, 2004 Views: 1026 | Music When Lennon died, I found myself musically "lost"...as a baby in the 60's, I didn't get the chance to see a lot of the dudes who've made incredible musical impact (i.e. Brian Jones). John Lennon was my IDOL---I had his books, drawings, poetry and albums. I started collecting as an adolescent. The whole picture is hard to conceive--we lost much more than just a musician when John was killed. And I, personally, came close to losing my love of the art. Enter the Stones, who always took back burner to Lennon, but seem to be plugging along, regardless of age and arthritis. My heart goes out to Yoko. While overwhelmed at the loss of John Lennon, I cannot imagine the emptiness she feels..... Meanwhile, I live my life as always, through John's words "Whatever gets you through your life is all right". Rest in Peace, Man. Wish I had known you. Thanks for sharing your talent and insight with us. The world is a better place because we were fortunate enough to have you in it! Much Love, Sugar |
