TOPIC: I like the Cutout shields best

On one side road though I once saw a cutout shield like the California-use sheilds. The only difference, no US at the top and no black outline ... basically the majority-use black and white with the black missing from the border. I thought it looked very clean and not horribly intrusive. I think it or the CA-use US Highway shield would make a good replacement.

Black-bordered cutout with the "US" banner is classic. It's bad enough we've gone to the radioactive-glow green guide signs and the funny-shaped Interstate & State Highway shields (Californians know what I'm talking about).
