Introspective

At this time, I was a young (9 years old) PSB fan. I'd heard "Please" and "Actually", and the single versions of "Domino Dancing" and "Always On My Mind", which I was delighted to be getting. The way they sounded on the album and the the other songs came as a total surprise.

RE: Introspective

I voted for the ballet. But now I kind of agree with you. I was disappointed and a bit puzzled with "Introspective" at the time. And I still feel that to make a record like that with the hits they had was not very commercially clever. They had enjoyed a lot greater success with a proper album. I know that it sold well, but disappointed customers didn't buy the next album.

RE: RE: Introspective

When I heard for the fisrt time Introspective I thought: Oh,this must be the second part of the Disco albums. In fact, the creation process was the opposite, making an album of extended versions and then singles of 4 minutes average (except for songs that have been previously recorded), although they are not only extended versions but rather different versions (or slightly different) of longer duration and more oriented towards to the House. However the eternal dilema of this album is some singles seem to be better, although personally I think that the album versions are very appreciable due to the form and style with which the album was made.

RE: Introspective

And sometimes an album is more than a collection of songs. when you get to the point what it is made of.

Adrian: It was 45 on Billboard, Introspective was 36. And note that I love Behaviour, and I think it's that record that made me a fan for life. And Introspective has great tracks too. But I was 15 at the time, and quite mainstream.

RE: Introspective

It's their bestselling album worldwide, so you can't call it a mistake. It's a fantastic album, at the height of their powers.
