Bilingual

A hugely disappointing album for me, I really thought they'd lost the plot when I heard it. Not an album I play at all. Mind you, I was initially shocked by Behaviour too, the analogue synths somehow jarred and the lack of dance tracks after what came before puts this album in runner-up spot. I appreciate Behaviour, especially Being Boring but certainly wouldn't put it as their best work as a whole.

RE: Bilingual

You should try Bilingual. Its better than you think. (although Metamorphosis does grate now and I don't want to think what it sounded like before its remix.) However it has an excellent opener and going in to the second track. It was very well received by NME, which I was very surprised at, at the time. As I said, much better than you think. Stick with it.

RE: Bilingual

I've voted Bilingual, cause it was shocking for me when it was released in 96. After their 4 first LPs, Biligual was so different that I didn't accept during months.

BUT, as it is usual with their works, and as Chris himself said once in an interview, the PSB albums are underestimated when are released and became more and more estimated with time. Now Bilingual is one of my faves, and listening live Se a vida è or Domino Dancing like two weeks ago in Madrid are simply gorgeous.

By the way, Behaviour wansn't surprising for me. After Please, Actually and Introspective (a lot amazing for me since the beggining the three of them), I still remember my first audition of Behaviour, the same day it was released, and immediately became my fave PSB album ever (and still it is).

Just my thoughts ^ ^
Regards!
