| Posted By: bigrock Posted On: Nov 18, 2004 Views: 119 | About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle (theme to the Beverly Hillbillies) Aw shucks fellas, come on I was jest foolin' around. Ah'm jist like the rest of yew and go to church, clean my assault rifles and beat my wife and kids real regular-like evry Sundee (and always have time for the NASCAR race, don't really care for the Busch series too much, too many things to do on Saturday, don't you know). And, y'all paid attention to my handle. I'm toucned. I didn't even look at yours, just figured they were something creative like Redneck1 and KwitAfterTherdGrayd. With apologies to Bill Shakespeare, "Methinks the ladies do protest too much." If y'all are secure in your position why the vitriole? I mean I know it is common for those who live unexamined lives to react to a fearful situation (the fact that y'all might be wrong) with irrational anger, but don't you haters feel like maybe when your eyes buldge out and veins in your jaw start popping and whoever you're talking to needs a spitgaurd, that maybe, just maybe you are getting a little overwrought? Bush won, I concede. The US will just have to wait four more years for another shot at finding a leader. I'm young, I can wait. But in the meantime Bush is getting our kids killed. Kids that probably dropped out of high school around the same time some of you did, but weren't lucky enough to get that part-time delivery route, or good job with the County like you did. If you are so right then you have no need to be angry, and if you are wrong then you have no right to be angry. Your anger tells a lot about how worried you are. I feel sorry for you that you can't admit that you are afraid for our future with Bush at the helm, or whatever you are afraid of because mullett, listen up, you are scared. And with the Cocaine Cowboy as our leader, I don't blame you, just don't take it out on me, I didn't vote for the retard. You did. Get angry at yourself, you are to blame. You have murdered innocent Iraqi children and American armed forces personnel. You did. Sorry to spoil your little circle jerk of the simple-minded, but there are intelligent people in America who have opinions that differ from yours. And some of us live in Texas and are raising our families in TEXAS (um, like me). Don't think because I am thoughtful and well-spoken that I don't care about our country. I do. I just care about it in a different way than you. For instance, I don't believe it is right to kill other people and kill OUR OWN PEOPLE just to keep the price of oil down. And call me crazy, but I don't think it reflects well on the US when we do that. Do you? I know I'm talking a lot of smack, just like some of y'all are. It's just the nature of these boards. Don't take it personally. But do let it get you riled if you like. You getting riled proves my case in point to some extent. But do answer the last question I asked. Do you think killing innocent foreign civilians and our own service men and women is justified to keep the price of oil down? If you all think it is worth sacrificing human life so that you can drive a truck or SUV that you will never take off-road or haul anything with, then maybe some of the disgust and hate that you have directed at me might better be directed at yourselves because you all are the despicable ones. And this thread is still spam. I noticed no one addressed that point in your responses. Take this **** to a politcal forum. Here I want to talk football. Like how if it were today, the Orange ought to pit OU against Auburn and let them dope-smoking, flag-burning, LIBERAL hippies at USC ride it out in the Rose, or better yet Holiday, Bowl. Oh and the guy who asked if I spoke Russian, f*cking funny. Does that work with the fellas at the cock fights and tractor pulls you attend? You do know that for the most part we don't have too many problems with them dern Russkies these days, right? Maybe you should have gone with Farsi or Arabic. A little more current, but then we are talking about you Billy Bob, and maybe up-to-date thinking is a little too much to ask, never mind. Hook 'em. |

" No. If you think that is why we are there then you are the one listening to too much retoric. Rightly or wrongly Bush believes that liberation of the middle east is the key to ending terrorism. He believes if people have hope they will not be as willing to die in the name of hate. I have no idea if this approach will work in the middle east because it has never been attempted. Clearly though what has been tried up to this point doesn't work. I commend you for getting envolved and I won't attack you for having different political ideas then I do. All I would ask is read all sides before making up your mind. If you know all the facts and decide that the view you hold now is the correct one, then while I would respectfully disagree, I would respect your opinion. The reason our system works so well is we come at are problems from both sides of the spectrum. The answer is usually found somewhere in the middle. If not for the right and the left there would be no center and that would be the end of "the great experiment" that is democracy. |
| Posted By: Spence Posted On: Nov 22, 2004 Views: 102 | RE: About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle I don't mean to imply that the US being in Iraq has nothing to do will money, because it clearly does, but there has never been a war that wasn't about money. Never. Money though has everything to do with national security. |
| Posted By: Larry Posted On: Nov 23, 2004 Views: 96 | RE: About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle I think 'bigrock' should "nest" where the rest of the anti-American, left-winger, knuckle-dragging nitwits belong....the same place kerry's medals ended up! OOOOOPS! They weren't kerry's? Oh well, it doesn't matter. bigrock - I do not drive an SUV. I drive a heavy duty 3/4 ton GMC 4x4!!! And we've got alot of 'em! (made in America - not russia where kerry hid out) And you know what's on the front of it??? A big-a$$ Western (made in Wisconson) V-plow!!! We plow snow so that: soccer moms can get to the mall, low-rents can spend their undeserved welfare checks, trucks can deliver the goods that America relies on, etc, etc, etc! So I'm not buying what you're "serving up". Go pi$$ on someone elses fire hydrant! cuz you surely are no "American"! |

| Posted By: bigrock Posted On: Dec 1, 2004 Views: 80 | RE: About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle Spence, I hear you. Good points about hearing all sides. The reason I was being so heavy-handed was to basically poke fun at the rimjobs on here whose basis for an argument is something like, "It's a proven fact that John Kerry never went to Viet Nam and George Bush is actually a direct descendent of Jesus Christ hisself, so dickweed, YOU'RE WRONG." Not much chance of reasoning with those folks. Like Larry the literalist. If you are reading this Larry don't worry I didn't just call you something dirty having to do with kissing women's private parts. It just means you take things literally, at face value, without inferring anything figurative, humorous, ironic or metaphorical from it. (They teach stuff like in the grades beyond the 10th.) Like when I say, "Larry is a fat head." And you say "Nunh unh. My head ain't fat, here you go, my cap size is 7 1/2 right here. You were wrong about my head size. You are a communist." you are interpreting my statement literally (and making no sense by calling me a communist, what is this 1958?). Instead of comprehending the broader meaning, which is, of course, that you are a mouth-breathing, skid-marks-in-your-Hanes moron. Let's take a stab at Larry's demographic profile-- Completed high school. Barely. The grown ups felt so much pity they just let him graduate, primarily to get him out of their hair. Studies focused on shop (both wood and automotive), which isn't a knock, I'm very handy, but it's about balance of physical and intellectual Larry. Larry pretty much skipped the last two years of high school, and not even to do anything fun like get with girls or get a little stoned, but to hang out at work with the guy who had failed everything else in town so now he just pumped gas. Overweight, not Marlon Brando fat, but carries around an extra 25-30. Larry gave up trying to maintain the physique he had during his stellar career as third string bench warmer in some jerk water town where even he couldn't make a name for himself (but still desperately clings to the threads of some fantasized sports heroism.). No, he just brewkies those painfully humiliating memories away. It's cheap beer, but name brand, Miller Lite or High Life. Larry does worry what the other cellar dwellers think of him. He's got pride! Anyway, he saves the good stuff for when he’s home alone (which is a lot). No point in sharing! Frequent use of some type of tobacco product. Combined with the obesity this is a particularly fascinating phenonmenon. Seen very often in the just barely keeping my eyebrows above the poverty level laborer class. They somehow manage to be addicted to nicotine, yet still eat way more than their fair share. They are fat and fidgety. Single. C'mon, it's Larry. And because he's single he is free to indulge in a casual approach to his hygiene, and the upkeep of his apartment. That’s okay though, folks have quite a few items higher on their list of reasons why they stay away from Larry. Works in a traditionally male-exclusive job—welding or concrete pouring maybe, 90% certain it is related to the construction or waste management lines of work. No pets. Too mean and self-centered to care for even a loyal pooch. It would be too painful for Larry to have a dog unconditionally love him, as he hates himself and his life so intensely (and from the above profile, can you blame him?). Cripes, I’m starting to feel a little sorry for Larry. Wait a second, that would just be some kind of liberal, communist left-wing conspiratorial shenanigans. Screw that. Larry is just going to have to find a way to incapacitate himself so that he isn’t a burden on the society that is passing him by at light speed in terms of knowledge, technology, philosophy and culture. He’ll have to act on his rage and get himself locked up. Or he’ll just have to keep adding brick after brick of isolation in the form of his booze. Or maybe he’ll wake up one day 5, 10, 15 years from now and all of sudden realize he is completely alone, no human companionship, no hope, and leave the car running in a closed garage… |
| Posted By: Larry Posted On: Dec 1, 2004 Views: 78 | RE: About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle Thanks big rock....from YOU, the above rhetoric is a compliment, and you have proved my point. The only question I have is: "What part of Texas are you from"??? NOTE: I never called you names. Yes, I "smack-talked", but only about your political views. You did the rest. |
| Posted By: bigrock Posted On: Dec 6, 2004 Views: 68 | RE: About what I expected from Heckle and Jeckle hey, i know, why don't i just give you my home address? On second thought, I think I'll pass on the burning cross in my front yard and the continuous stream of phone calls and mail from the Regional Society of Scared Rednecks for an All-White America. I'm not down with their message. Typical manipulating loudmouth shenanigans--Try to deflect the responsibility of your actions on to someone else--hey you are a republican! Yeah Larry, you didn't do anything wrong, you are completely innocent, you didn't call me names, sorry my caling you names made you cry, for such an angry tough guy, you sure are a pu$$y. |
