If Assab is not to be in Ethiopias custody, then Eritrea will only exist as a hostile entity to Ethiopians if not to Meles. It will also remove all doubts in international quarters like WFO etc. that Ethiopia may not be served well without the ports at the custody of Eritrea, because the already sick Assab is going to be confirmed dead soon after it is declared Eritrean. A New World will also emerge. The closure of Assab, in a way, will be a God-sent bliss, which will immensely benefit Gondar, Gojam and Tegray, because Port Sudan is going to make these regions busy. If the Somaliland port is going to be routinely operational, it will be highly unlikely that Ethiopia will revert to Massawa or Assab anymore anytime |

Anyways Eritrea is the real loser out of it since they get port fees from us. Using Port Sudan and Somalia will be good for Ethiopia in creating more regional interaction and influence within the region, already we are on really good terms with Sudan these days, by using their port, we can also receive a deal on discounted oil prices, not to mention increasing cross border trade amongst the two states. |

What happened to the once.... Minerals, fertilness, tourism, various industrious, high caliber number of intellectuals....
