Ethiopia and Ethiopian are so anxious to learn the out come this mediation, it is our hope that it will deliver acceptable detailed frame of agreement, where not only both countries are going to be bound with but also any form of future dispute related to our common border will get a prompt resolution without any military might involvement. Both countries witnessed devastating consequences of the 98 border war. It is in the interest of both countries that having a lasting solution for this recurrent problem, so as to focus our meagre recourses on burning issues of domestic matter. We may use the resources that we are going to save from not wagging war on Health, Education, Road construction, Availability of Potable water, Electricity to every household, basic Sanitation, etc. It is a major obstacle in our endeavour to realise the aforementioned areas of activities that would at least lay a basic foundation for further improvements. Till we accept this peaceful mediation our resources are going to be drained for buying ammunition, supporting a sizable armed force, etc. Thus it is our hope that the UN mediation will take us out of this recurrent hostility, which leads to the misery of fellow Ethiopians and our beloved country. Down with WAR MONGERS!!!! Peace and Prosperity to Ethiopia!!!! |
