| Posted By: meo Posted On: Jul 19, 2002 Views: 471 | hello I can't remember the first time I hurt myself, I think I must have been around the age of 12, im now 20 and i still hurt myself, probable more then i did back then. When i got caught cutting when i was 15 my mom wanted to lock me up, i bounced around from different shrinks for several years. One month id be on 20mg of prozac the next week id be on 60mg of zoloft and then back to prozac and various other medications, when i was 17 i was diaognosed as being bipolar. No medications ever worked for me and no shrink was ever affective. I know for many people they are, however not for me. when i was 18 i fired my shrink and went off medication, i still cut and some times have very bad episodes, but i will never go back on medication. As for my family they refused to believe that i mutilate and pretty much just want to hide under the notion that im a drama queen. I don't really mind because i dont think i would beable to handle their judgemental minds. good luck! |
