First i just pinched myself but as i got older I started poking myself with neddles and now i cut myself with raisors. I want to stop i just seem unable to. And i have been reading some web sites and it said that most people are abused. I have never really been abused. Somethimes verbally but not really alot. I have every thing a good home, nice and caring parents, i am athletic. And yet i feel like i have the world's weight on my shoulder. I mean i am not a serious "cutter" but I still am one. I accually didn't know there were other people like me that what i do even hada name until I watch the episode "Cutters" on 7th Heaven and then i realized it. If any one has advice please tell me. I really want to stop just can't. |

There is no one-step process and, most likely this self-injury will be with you the rest of your life- even if you do stop, which I know you can if you really want to, years later if something "triggers" you, the thought of harming may cross your mind, but just dont do it. Find something else that you can substitute that perhaps is not so detrimental. I myself was never abused, never raped, never even went to public school and had the troubles there, but I still cut, there must be a reason, but it eludes me. take care. email me if you would like. |
