hope

I started cutting at a much older age than most. I was 22, I think. I had just been diagnosed bipolar. I have cut off and on. Now it has been six months, but the thoughts and urges have come back really bad lately. One thing that helps me both with this and with suicidal thoughts is to think of a reason not to do it. There are all those reasons that your dr. says and you find on web sites, but I am talking about something really personal. I have my niece and nephew. They are 6 mos. and 4 yrs. I don't want them to fall into my patterns. I also want a healthy lifestyle so I can spend time with my friends, who are very special to me, with kids, I want to teach, and in ministry. I love my church. Hopefully this will help someone out there. Think of that one thing that you don't want to leave behind or affect.
E-mail me if you want.
