Very side two

I voted for Very side two, which for me is the best half of their best album. But, Wayne, Postscript isn't on the vinyl or cassette versions of the album, so it's worth removing that track if you can!

On a separate note, Electric isn't their longest album so it's likely more of a stylistic choice that it appeared on two discs rather than one - to reflect its presentation as more of a dance record, say. So perhaps it would have made more sense, since we're prioritising their artistic vision in this poll (as with the Fundamental anomaly), to offer four options rather than two for Electric?

RE: Very side two

I see your point, Ramzy, about Electric, and had considered that. But then I feared that breaking Electric into four parts rather than just two would give it something of an "unfair disadvantage," so to speak, greatly reducing the odds of voters choosing *any* of its four sides on account of their relative brevity.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

RE: Very side two

It does! Thanks Wayne. And apologies for having missed the clear note you'd already included about Postscript - must pay better attention.

While I do understand, I'm not sure in either case I wholly agree since for many fans - me being one - the LP side divisions aren't these theoretical ways of splitting up the CD tracklist but are actually how we experience the albums either exclusively or most often. So the options for Very and Electric are kind of things that don't actually exist and therefore feel weird to vote for. But it's not my poll! :)

Great idea, either way, and thanks as always for the fascinating resource you have here.

RE: Very side two

Actually, Ramzy, you didn't miss that note -- you inspired it! I added that note only after you had raised your very legitimate concerns about it. Thanks for doing that!
