The existence of a character they have helped to create, who now appears to be evolving beyond the musical in which she was created, is brilliant. She’s German and they get influenced from Berlin. It’s also Cabaret-equestrian. Very Isherwood. It was made for Frances Barber and the Edinburgh Fringe is now an internationally renowned event - for a whole month in the summer. I would love to go for the whole month! (I'd also like another album of banging house tunes, with a dark twist, but the nannas have stamped their feet, so you’re getting an album of extended Agenda. Let them do what they want! (NB: they will anyway!) |
