A bit of love for...

Can I just show a bit of love for The Sound of the Atom Splitting. I do love that track. I always appreciate it when mainstream artists go a bit experimental. I also think it's far closer to what The Beatles would have done if they were still together and had access to 1990s technology rather than the Very output.

A great track in same bracket as Playing in the Streets if not the same style.

RE: A bit of love for...

I always thought that TSOAS leaned more on the "it's a good try, but Laurie Anderson and The Art of Noise etc. have already done it better" side of things.

( Still better than "Don Juan"! ;] )

Maybe I don't *love* it, but I surely do *like* it. It has fun lyrics and is a good change in the context of Alternative.

I like it very much. I like some atonal music, so I appreciate the tense atmosphere generated by the continuous dissonance of the "chord" sequence in The Sound Of The Atom Splitting. That's how horror and or sci-fi movie soundtracks are made. Music has not to be to be melodic, gentle, pop, commercial or romantic all the time.

Nope sorry, even the mix of Burn on Undertow release is better imo.

RE: A bit of love for...

I love this b side and it’s dissonance. What’s wrong with experimentation.? Although I do have to agree the remix of Burn on the Undertwow cd is dreadful - I don’t give that any points for experimentation!
