Robert Schulz i concur.

Yardo is in the belly of the beast, but we must be diligent, for the 'industry' is lapsing into memoirs of slow butter.

Feed me, but never leave me. xxx

RE: And when we know that

Pet Shop Boys only care about money nowadays. They sold their soul to 'the father of lies' back in that so-called 'Pet Shop.'

Their time is almost up, and then it's back to the 'pit.'

They are an abomination on vacation.

"Abomination" would be a GREAT name for the next album!

...yes it would Thomas, HaHa! :0)

The 'Special Edition' could be embedded into a chunk of brimstone, & you would have to burn it in-order to hear it :0)

...but, the 'pit' still awaits for these hybrids from a 'Pet Shop!'

RE: RE: And when we know that

Hi Wayne!

Here's a great question to ask in the future...

Q. Pet Shop Boys have often been compared to fellow Brit synth duo Erasure. Whether rightly, or wrongly, which Pet Shop Boys single is the most 'erasuresque' - in other words 'sounds most like them?'

(List all singles)

Hope you like :0) xxx

RE: And when we know that

or which letter of pet shop boys should be printed in what colour when they make it a question of design?

RE: And when we know that

I like your questions suggestion, Chico. My only reservation is that I wouldn't want to list a "NO PSB single sounds like Erasure" option because that would almost certainly be the #1 choice by a large margin. But if I didn't include it, I would surely get complaints. So it puts me between the proverbial rock and a hard place.

Still, as I said, I like the question, so I will definitely keep it in mind as a future possibility. Thanks!

RE: And when we know that

Hi Wayne & thanks for your super duper reply!

I think you underestimate the PSB fans, not all of us are music snobs, i know many friends who are fans of both bands. I've never got this rivalry nonsense, sure I think Pet Shop Boys have a far greater catalogue, but Erasure did put out some great tracks in their prime.

However, I don't want the wrath of PSB snobs spoiling your run up to Christmas,
so I will give you 'alittle respect' & leave it with you!

***Merry Christmas & a Bright, Happy & Healthy New Year***

RE: And when we know that

Everything sounds like something else. Erasure is much more of a softer thing than what the stiffness is doing with pet shop boys.

Questions with a large margin are the point here so why do you exclude them Wayne? Dont you like our discussion to be not seriously and logically performed?

RE: And when we know that

Robert, you say, "Questions with a large margin are the point here," but I don't agree. I don't think there's anything wrong with one particular answer taking the lead by a large margin if it's not highly predictable. The current poll is one such example. Who would've predicted that "Release" would have such a large lead with this question?

But when one can easily predict a particular outcome, I think that makes the question far less interesting. Why bother asking a question if the answer is pretty much a foregone conclusion?

Of course, I could be totally wrong about my predicted answer for the Erasure question. I suppose we won't know unless we ask. There's the irony.

Thanks.

Wayne
