| Posted By: The Pill Posted On: Feb 24, 2002 Views: 843 | Final Fantasy VII I can certainly agree with all of you that voted VI and IV since those are great stories, with great characters that all have their idiviuality, both as characters and with their abilities, but for me its got to be VII. VII was a landmark in graphics, story, battle and magic system, and a great example of what could be added to the story by adding short film clips into the game's play. For me, there will never be any better than Final Fantasy VII. |

FFVII was good, its a sure thing, but for the battle system FFVI was really good (i loved the magic learning method with the espers), and, in its own oldish 2D way, very very beautiful. Just try and imagine if FFVII would have been as good as FFVI if it has had the same 2D graphisms ? |

That said, FFVII is still a great FF, and a great RPG... |

So.. what you're saying is, because it was one of the first on playstation, and one of the first to be in 3D, it's the best ever? You don't have a big concept of storyline. Playing a psycho beyond the point to be called 'drugged-up' and chasing some even more psychopathic lunatic around the world doesn't make much of a good RPG. And, no, the first FF lead the way for all of them. FFVII didn't make the RPG industry, especially for FF. |
