First of all, there shouldn't even be a war. I'm sure Mother Nature wouldn't like to see her creations fighting for something only a handful of humans believe in. Many people believe animals are the pacifists. And also, those dolphins were taken from their families and might die for something they don't believe in. At least our soldiers volunteer to join the military. How would you like to be taken from your family, forced to undergo "training" in some field you aren't interested in, risk your life for a war you don't know much about, and probably never go home or even be freed? They're the cetacean equivalent of bomb-strapped dogs, except they're testing the mines instead of transporting them. |

We should have finished the job in the first war rather than allowing poleticians to interfere and make the deaths of American soldiers mean nothing. It does not matter if only a handful of humans believe in it. We, as Americans, were outraged when terrorist destroyed the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. And Bush, as the President of the United states, with Congress and the country behind him, declared war on terrorism. And due to that we are in a war. And yes, some people dont like it, but it is a fact. There is no reason to get American soldiers killed because people dont want to be in a war. I am thankful that there are people willing to fight for my freedom, and the freedom of others. And last, there is no 'freed' for the dolphins. They are free. The navy takes them out into the ocean. If they want to, they can leave. And there is nothing that the navy can do about it. They can dive deeper for longer periods of time then we can and can swim at greater speeds than a human. If that dolphin doesn't want to do what we are asking it to do, it wont. Do you so little respect for these inteligent animals and know so little about them that you actualy think that a human can control what they do? |
