Take another poll:

What song of Barry's is the best written song of all time. I want you to focus on just the lyrics and tell me your favorite. Mine is Weekend In New England. Now it's your turn.

RE: Take another poll:

Thanks for the great question, Keith! In my opinion, "Every Single Day" and "Forever And A Day" are tied for the best written songs Barry has ever done. Since Barry also wrote both of these songs, I think they are even more special. The bottom line is Barry's passion and emotion really come through in his music, and it is especially evident in the songs I mentioned. As for the most emotional song Barry has ever written and/or recorded that would be "Where You Go" from the new Manilow Scores CD.

Those are great songs. One of my favorite albums is Here At The Mayflower. As I have already told you Laurie, I love the lyrics he writes. My favorite on this album is I Hear Her Playing Music. Also, if you have the 4 disc Barry Manilow "The Complete Collection...And Then Some" he does a live performance of Just Remember that is so touching.

Just Saw Barry

Hey, I just saw Barry in Las Vegas. I have always been a closet fan of his but can honestly say he put on a hell of a show. When he did Mandy - the duet with himself from early 70's - I enjoyed that so much. But, my favorite is "Weekend in New England" for sure. They're all good, all take me back to a younger time... a carefree, younger me. Go see the show - you'll love it.
