Giuseppe Dear Sulivan, Di Stefano had a beautiful voice, exquisite piano, and in his early career he also showed an exciting top. Deficient technique put an end to his career prematurely, and the last years of his active career were plagued with dubious vocal production. In his prime, although only a short period, he was superb, with perhaps the most beautiful tenor voice heard, certainly a favourite tenor, but would you consider him the Greatest? Jay |
