I don't think there's another tenor who comes close to matching his superb technique. People criticize his somewhat nasal tone, but I find it beautiful. The list seemed as if it was lacking in true authentic bel canto tenors (with the possible exception of Gigli, whom I consider more of a lyric or spinto) I'm also a big fan of Pertile and Filippeschi, but would not consider them in the Top 10, maybe Pertile. |
