Posted By: Keith Mayes Posted On: Dec 22, 2002 Views: 955 | RE: Moon Landing! Hi Carl, Judging by your other comments under 'Big Bang' you obviously consider yourself to be the intellectual superior to most other people on the planet. That being the case, why do you keep raising points that are naive, totally inacurate, and rather childish? Keith |
Posted By: Carl Rofe Posted On: Jan 1, 2003 Views: 942 | RE: Moon Landing! I know I know, bad comment! I wasn't serious (oops!) Yeah, they are a bit naive, got to admit, get my head around this stuff a bit more. I'm not superior! You're right! I was never meant to be, just mucking about! So I'll leave you to it! Me and my big mouth eh! I'm not like this really, just getting a...well...opinion I guess! You're obviously serious, and i respect that. Got to admit, internet is one hell of a place for this topic! If you wondered, i'm under 20! By the way, you wouldn't know the relationship between the Casimir affect (between two plates), and gravity is, would you? |
Posted By: Keith Mayes Posted On: Jan 2, 2003 Views: 937 | RE: RE: Moon Landing! Carl, I am not at all surprised that you are under twenty, I would have guessed 15/16. To answer your question (which is supposed to impress us with your huge knowledge???) What is the relationship between the Casimir affect (between two plates), and gravity? Simple: Go to Google, type in Casimir and follow one of the links, such as:- http://theory.ph.man.ac.uk/~jones/webtext/node3.html I am surprised that such a super intelligent person as yourself didnt think of that. |
Posted By: we did 2 go to the moon! Posted On: Feb 22, 2003 Views: 896 | ANSWER: carl To answer your question, Carl, they flew right through the Van Allen Belts so fast - 25,000mph sound fast to you? that's plenty faster than your brain - they contracted REM equivalent to a few X-ray scans. Keep in mind, the van allen radiation belt is a general zone where there tends to be a lot of radiation. It isn't 100% dense with radiation as you might think. You've been mislead, or are just plain stupid. Contrary to popular belief, the van allen belts aren't laser death rays. they just have a bit more radiation than surrounded areas |

Posted By: C. Rofe Posted On: Mar 6, 2003 Views: 886 | RE: Moon Landing! Some of my comments are a bit tongue-and-cheek; ignore them i guess. I do believe in the Moon landing, and all the evidence supporting it. It's one of those inspiring first thoughts when you watch it again (the quest for greater understanding), and the achievement of what we humans earlier thought would be unimaginable. Science seems to have a way of explaining things, doesn't it? |

Does anyone know where i can get some really good experimental information on the properties of the Van Allen Belts, and their associattion with earth's geomagnetic field (which has existed for the last 3 billion yrs)? NOT http://www.igpp.lanl.gov/Geodynamo please. |
