| Posted By: tony Posted On: Oct 14, 2006 Views: 1360 | cosmic rays JUST WONDERING. did anyone hear how some people are explaining astronauts sightings of aliens. apparently it has been proved that cosmic rays can penitrate a spacecrafts hull or even a helmets visor. it is now believed that these rays (which are made of protons) can not be percieved properly by the eye which is desigined for photons. when the proton comes into contact with the eye an illusion of sudden lights or streaks is created, which could be in space thought as objects or crafts. see http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/mir_lights_030416.html for an explination of the cosmic rays this however does not explain for multiple sightings!! any ideas? |
| Posted By: Print name here Posted On: Oct 18, 2006 Views: 1355 | RE: cosmic rays I think you mean ufo's not aliens, I don't think any astronaut has ever said they saw an alien, ufo's are frequently reported by astronauts, like the shuttle that just came back saw some. All this means is unidentified flying object so it's something flying in space they cannot identify. Mostly it's chunks of ice that break off the station from time to time. Aliens in space? no chance, As soon as mother nature realises how fast 'intelligent' life can screw up a planet, she won't make that mistake again! |
