Posted By: Proffessor PhIl Pot Posted On: Mar 9, 2008 Views: 1265 | moon landing frequecies used As it requires around 1500 watts RF @ 144mhz to bounce a radio signal off the moon. What frequecies were use on the moon landings, and what RF power did the moon lander transmitters use, where did they power in 1969 to power a high power transmitter? Also why in some of the recordings of the first moon landing the comms delay vary from 6.9 seconds to below 2 seconds, when the round trip delay is 5.4 seconds? |

What makes you think that it requires a particular frequency and power to transmit a message to the moon? Why? Where did you get that 5.4 secs round trip figure from? Do the maths. It takes approx 1.3 secs for a message to travel between the earth and moon. The round trip time obviously varies with how long it took before the reply was sent. You are spouting total garbage. |
