yeah, DS

im sorry, but DS look better, gas powered games actually took the time to make good models, make models that can move anywhere, and make models that can have robes and dresses, UNLIKE NEVERWINTER NIGHTS

RE: yeah, DS

DS sux its quite simple, the textures are rubish the gameplay is very slow and the class system is flawed.

RE: RE: yeah, DS

Sure, the gameplay is very slow and the class system is flawed, but that's not what this is all about, this was about the graphics...

RE: yeah, DS

look, dont get me wrong, but dungeon seige models look way better than nwn, mainly because gas powered TRIED

the people at bioware just ignore us on everything we say, we say, lets have a horse, they say, no we cant model it because we suck at modeling blah blah

it really ****es me off, with bioware being the number 1 fastest growing company this year, how come they cant hire some more modelers?

what does bioware say about this? they say they are spending the money and time on "other resources and content"

Maybe we dont want the other resources or content, we want models that can have capes robes and hoods, just like every other game that came out in the past 3 years

Bioware seems to be ahead of some technology, by WAY far behind in others, if they couldnt solve clipping issues with models, i would be afraid to see what else they havent solved so far.... 3d editing and engines go way beyond just the clipping issue, at least its nice to see they figured out how to do particles

dungeon seige on the other hand is just like all the games that came out in the past 3 years, it solved clipping just like everyone, except bioware, has....

im done here...

RE: yeah, DS

I would say they tie or some time DS better in graphics, in that competition DS my be will win , my be......:)
But in game play comonn DS make huge very good impression on me and on most of us in first day we all got it, but after week of plaing or my be couple weeks, it become borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeed big time, i already sad it on NWN forum and i repeat it here, i was one of those who got DS in first hour it was show up on shelfs and yeaa i had fun at start, but now i got 3 chars all over level 95 and all fun adventure gone, even in Elite mode no metter who you are mage or fighter or combo of both you getting borred in first 10 minuts of play, most of monsters die in one hit or one spell, level growing reaaaaally r....eeee.aaaa..lyyyyy slow, even D2lod i playing now more often then DS, only thing in D2LOD ruined the game it all those duppers damn them......:)

RE: yeah, DS

Actually BioWare is hiring graphics design people..

but yes the graphics for NWN are a bit shabby when compared to DS. Not saying NWN looks like ass, it still looks good but not drop dead gorgeous.

I'd think making robes and flowing cloaks would be very hard on the GPU..and thus drive up the system requirements.

RE: yeah, DS

Its like you said: Dungeon Siege is exactly like all the other games that have come out in the past three years. It really has nothing new to offer the genre. Sure it may have slightly better poly counts but in all other ways it sucks. DS has worse particle effects, and worse textures and thats only the graphics. The gameplay and plot is worse than the Diablo series. And also who would really prefer to get horses or flowing cloaks in a game rather than more features in the toolset or other things BioWare could be spending time on.

Wow, retardation.

"we want more clothes" - is this a ****ing RPG or an overgrown barbie? Come on you morons. Every game in the past three years, like you said, has had that. I want better toolset and more feats/skills/features. Why does it matter if you can ride a horse? I would bet it wasn't so much a lack of modellers, as a major change to the engine and level design. Do you realize how much things have to change for the dynamic of simply being able to ride a horse? Suddenly, no monster can catch you, you can gallop through every level and only fight the boss fight, you can ride them into buildings, blah blah f'ing blah. Get over your pretty flowing robes and big nice horses, go back to having mommy read you Black Beauty while you play with your Barbies, and quit whining about a game that they spent a long time making good, not JUST graphically, but also in the things we can do with it.

Don't like their models? Try making some. You know, you can... or should I say, it's possible, you probably can't. Maybe instead of talking **** about what they can't do, you should fix the problem, since they made for you a perfectly good way to do that. But honestly, even after all the **** you talked, I doubt you could do any better, or even anywhere near as good.
