| Posted By: Cort Williams Posted On: Apr 26, 2002 Views: 605 | Old school RPGs for the PSX/PS2 For me, themost old-school game for the PSX would have to be Beyond the Beyond-One of the older RPGs for the system, and not a very well knwn one from what I gather. The gameplay is old-fashioned and merciless-You better be ready to level up, save up gold, and get your rear end kicked from time to time. The graphics style and general feel remind me of Shining in the Darkness or Shining Force, though it has overhead perspective in dungeons and conventional RPG battle style. The plot is filled with the trivial quests and constant backtracking that make old RPGs great, or terrible, depending on your perspecive. |
