RE: Armed strugle is the only way out!!!

If Iraq is your example of freedom, forget it.

A foreign power has to free them from their dictator.

This will never happen in ethiopia. We are just one big starving disgrace with no oil, or anything else that is of immediate use to anybody important.

Dear cousin Meles,

I mentioned Iraq just to show that the so called “democracy”, international law, and nations sovereignty etc has no meaning in the international community any more what we saw was already there in the background but they can’t hold their burning desire of looting anymore so they are lotting Iraq right now you who they are.
We can not depend on ideas any more but we have to have other branch of our ideas and the model of peace full struggle will go on forever unless it includes some sort of assertiveness and that is arm struggle. If you are buying the package as it comes, it is only going to be a bedtime story and time will proof this. As I said any party if there is any that stands for the true cause of Ethiopia has to have some attachment to the armed forces in Ethiopia or has to have it’s own armed forces. EDP is just a protest PARTY NOTHING MORE.

RE: Armed strugle is the only way out!!!

If the Ethiopian government wants, it can keep Badme and the other areas it claims to be that of the Ethiopian people. Rejecting arbitral decisions is not new in international law. There are several cases in which the rejection led to new diplomatic initiatives (such as negotiation, mediation, conciliation, good offices, etc) or to
adjudication (such as new arbitration or a referral to the International Court of Justice).
The cases are also supported by several doctrinal works.

The Ethiopian government has not asked for a revision of the decison because it has not suggested that it has found new evidence after the decion is passed that can result in serious injustice on it. It has asked for interpretation which the tribunal refused to deal with. Normally, a request for interpretaion of arbitral decision is not objected to by the arbitral body
because it is a clarification. But, if the decision is clear, there is no room for interpretation. A review of an arbitral award is sometimes confused with an appeal which is not allowed once final decision is passed.

In international arbitration, if one of the parties is unhappy with the decison, it can reject it. It can, for example, reject the decison if the arbitral body has violated the compromis (the agreement that establihed the arbitral organ and determined their duties), if it has abused its power or if it is found corrupt. These are legal grounds to reject the decision. Other than these and similar grounds, the decision remains binding. For examples if the tribunal refuses to interpret, revise or review its decision, the decison will remain binding for the party in whose favour the is made.

Unlike the decison of the ICJ which can be enfoced by the Security Counsel, if a state for whatever reason rejects an arbitral decision, there is no international institution to enforce it. The pressure the state that refued to abide by the decison will face is purely diplomatic from the international community. So, the state that works hard in the diplomatic fild will become successful. If diplomatic solution cannot be found, the situation will lead to a conflict which will ultimately end up in a new arbitration by a new arbitral organ.

In short, if the Ethiopian government needs it can make the arbitral organ and its decision irrelevant by simply refusing to respect it. If Eritrea invades the territory Ethiopia says it is mine, then it should defend herself. If Eritrea does not want war then the diplomatic process should take course.

Please note that the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the arbitral bodies it creates are mostly discredited. In hundreds of years of existence, what it achieved is insignificant. The Ethio-Eritrean case is another challenge for its existence. When it refused to do anything on its decion, it was fighting for itself than for justice. Forget the UN.

RE: RE: Armed strugle is the only way out!!!

Armed struggle in Ethiopia can turn ugly. There are all sorts of opposing public within the country which can create sad out come. The nation and nationalities must build grass root movements;
in which all city dowellers deffend anyone who is not progovernment. Here we have society who enter netted via marieges, neighborhoods, friendships over many years. Start from each family helping one another in exposing ills done to any groups. build bigger networks of mutual ties to oppose the crimes this administration carries against its people. Support all opposition groups to have edge over the minorty dictator meles.
Create public rallies that denounces the ills of this regimes. Envite foreign journalists, diplomats to view your discontents. Shop from businesses who support your causes. Stop acusing other victims such as OLF, ONC, AAPOS. Infact encourage their activities to diminish the power of TPLF.
Post press releases each time you ralley and the results. Never use weapons, but use ballets and one protest after the other. If government unleashes its well expected killings, intesify further more south african style slogans and dmarches. Use all media possible to you to cover every detils of every protests.
You may bring quick end to the Woyyane Shiftas in less than a year. The cost of loss may be less than 100 lives but the respect EDP and the Ethiopian people will gain lives for another 100 years.
Best wishes.

'DON'T DISTURB! M..e..l..l..e..s. is asleep!'. Woyane is enjoying its best time since it came to power. And you know what, they deserved it! After all they chased the ****ting-on-their-pants Isayas's army out of our land and deep into their land until they wished they could go back to their mother's womb and born after all this is over!

One more adventure from the crazy frog (Isayas),and he is in the prisons of Addis!

To the person replying to every topic on this site with different names,if you are trying to make ethiopians to rise against their gov't, perish the thought! Don't burn alone. As an alternative make a donations to help alleviate Eritrean food scarcity and hunger and make a difference in your own starving brothers!

Peace!
