Capitalism or Socialism?

Though i like socialism in the respect that it is a good idea and it sounds like a "utopian" environment, people are naturally greedy and have their own agenda and it doesn't work out. That is why i typically lean toward capitalism. I think a mix, as our government has will suffice. We, (the U.S.) have a capitalistic government, yet we have communist things such as Social security. I think a mix is perfect rather than one or the other.

RE: Capitalism or Socialism?

It's true. In capitalism, you have to work for everything. No help from anything. What you work for you get. if you don't work, you don't get. regardless of age. Social security gives you money you didn't really work for. It's a communist idea. Not that i have a problem with it.

RE: Capitalism or Socialism?

A mix is better as you have said, however by living in a "welfare state", where people receive income support, child benefit and the like, there is not much incentive for these people to go out and earn their own money....Think about it like this...if you could sit on your arse all day and get money for doing so would you want to go out and work?
