Dear F.C., I hasten to reply to your comment and I regret that there has been a misunderstanding regarding poll closure time. Our Editor posted the exact time in "News" on 30 May 2002 as follows: "Our poll on E lucevan le stelle will close at midnight CET and shortly after Dr. Fragala will review the results as well as the poll-tenors' renditions of the aria". CET is the equivalent of GMT. We live in different time zones. In Australia, I have to allow for the time difference. Midnight CET in Europe corresponds to 8 AM the next day EAST here. At the moment, our editor is fast asleep and I am ready for lunch ! Sincerely, Joseph |
