Understanding infinity

The Universe by definition (all that is) would suggest to me that it is indeed infinite. Not to think so would mean there would have to be something else outside the boundaries of our known universe, and outside of [that], and outside of [that], and so on and so on. But wouldn't that all just make up, or at least add to, the composition of our universe (all that is)? Finite man could never possibly imagine an infinite space. So just as he created God to substantiate his own existance he has put limitations, or a border if you will around his world. To bring it into reach of his level of understanding and comprehension.

RE: Understanding infinity

i think we have to seperate the known universe, and all that is, with the terms 'universe' and 'multiverse' respectively. i think the multiverse being infinite and chaotic would explain us occuring at some point.

RE: Understanding infinity

Just because something has boundaries does not mean there has to be something around it.
