It is said that God loves us.For us love is taking care and do good and no harm but,mildly speaking,it seems God doesn't care at all. It doesn't need my proving it as this world is the proof.But isn't pain the basement of true no need to surmount obstacles as you are ALREADY happy! So why bother? You just already feel these placidity and bliss!And who are you in this case?No one.Nothing.The same result can be achieved by taking drugs.You are not a personality with your own life experience,who has had sadness and gladness,love and loss,laugh and tears,and memories.One could object here by the following: Why not give this true personality at the moment of creation?Why not just implant these memories at once like in Total Recall?Well,fine.One has these memories but they are only memories with nothing to support them.Such memories could be implanted in a computer as well.It doesn't make a Personality because there is NO EXPERIENCE.This is the key word here - experience. One can't be a full-fledged personality with no experience behind.And this is what actually happens with every one of us - we are gaining our own line of experience which will eventually give us true happiness,i.e.happiness with wisdom but not the one of a drug-addicted.And for God it's only a moment.And when life is over it will be perceived retrospectively as just a moment but this moment is filled with real experience.So,the process of creation is still in progress,it's not over yet.This world is neither good nor bad,it's just as it should be - it is right and necessary.God/Logos/Universal Reason/no matter how exactly called does really not play dice and it's a mistake to consider It a human - It really knows better.How many times I felt pain because I just couldn't accept the suffering my life made me feel, I wanted to go left but life took that turn away from me and made me go right and if I resisted it pulled me there.Now I see it was right as it not only was the right way to go but it made me realise many things my 'happy' left turn would never give me the right opportunities to realise.I'm grateful to this Reason now matter how one would call it - God or anything else.God loves us.It really does. PS: there are a lot of terrible things in the world. Sometimes,when I watch news reports,it seems to me that there are from hell.It's hard to accept but it should make sense,otherwise,if evolutionists are right,we are all 'accidentals' and,at least,to me it doesn't make sense. |

I agree, it does sometimes make you think this is hell, but this is just the sort of chaos and confusion that one would expect if things were left to go their own way. If there was some sort of plan I would expect the world to be a better place for it, why plan it to be like this? Funny how the same example can mean polar opposites depending on your personal point of view. |
| Posted By: hol Posted On: Nov 12, 2009 Views: 954 | RE: Why pain in the world the point of existence for me is that it shouldn't make sense. why should anything have to make sense. are we owed this? no we would like things to make sense but it doesn't mean they will. especially to us who only have 5 senses and limited perception. if there is a god or not in what ever form people believe (i.e. a man, a form, energy etc..) why would (he) get involved. judge or not judge. there may be no reason. good things happen. bad things happen. it's all just events. there are good people bad people. things just are. sometimes i'm nice sometimes i'm not. what can you do nothing just accept the lack of clarity and try and enjoy each day you can that's how i look at it it might not make sense but why should it |

I think pain is just a stimulus that organism hate, that alerts you in a very disturbing and loud way. Whenever they are alarmed by pain, they try to avoid it, because it makes you go mad. It stresses you out! It is very bad that a pain is something that people hate the most. And people go crazy and even commit suicide. But everyone will takes care of their body. If there weren't pain, there wouldn't be humans, there would be plenty of bacterias and plants. Better have a pain than being dead. At least it makes me feel I'm alive. |
