It was love at first sight and soon thereafter we moved in together. We were already talking about marriage and having a family. Three months later I found out I was pregnant. Two weeks after that he moved out...he said the commute to work was too far. He said it didn't change the way he felt about me but it just felt like he was abandoning me. Luckily, I had my mother living with me at the time. We actually broke up a few times thereafter...most likely because of my many outbursts. We are trying to work things out but I am still uncertain about the future. Besides, I felt like I would always have my mother to help me. Tonight she drops a bombshell on me that she is thinking about moving out with her boyfriend. While I am supportive and want her to be happy...I am so SCARED! I am working as medical resident with plans to continue on with further training. That includes many nights on call and 80 hour work weeks. I am terrified that I will be raising this baby on my own. While I know many women have done it before me; I am still quite apprehensive about the whole thing. I am well aware that I need help. I just hope the help is there. |
