Kambo Shop

Kambo sticks, sometimes referred to as "Kambo points" or "Kambo dots," are small pieces of wood or vine that are used to create superficial burns on the skin during the administration of Kambo medicine. These sticks are typically made from the dried sap of trees or vines native to the Amazon rainforest, such as the mimosa or acacia tree.

During a Kambo ceremony, the Kambo stick is heated over a flame until it becomes hot enough to create a small burn on the skin. The area where the burn will be made is usually chosen on the upper arm, shoulder, or leg. Once the skin is sufficiently heated, the tip of the Kambo stick is pressed against it, creating a small, superficial wound.

After the burns are made, the Kambo secretion, which is collected from the skin of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, is applied to the wounds. This secretion contains various peptides and bioactive compounds believed to have medicinal properties.

The burns created by the Kambo sticks serve as entry points for the Kambo medicine, allowing it to enter the bloodstream more effectively. The physiological reactions induced by Kambo, such as nausea, vomiting, and sweating, typically begin shortly after the administration and are part of the purgative process believed to cleanse the body of toxins and negative energies.

Kambo sticks are an integral part of the Kambo ceremony and are used in conjunction with the frog secretion to facilitate the healing and purification process. It's essential that Kambo ceremonies be conducted by trained practitioners who understand the proper techniques for administering both the burns and the medicine to ensure safety and effectiveness.
